The Musée Subaquatique de Marseille presents a collective exhibition of great artistic richness.

Each work has its own symbolism and benefits from its own universe and artistic approach.

They all share the same commitment to the marine environment.

The sculptures are made from pH-neutral marine cement to avoid polluting the environment.

The result is an artificial reef that is both a habitat and a refuge for marine species.

The museum

Initiated by Antony Lacanaud in 2017, the Musée Subaquatique de Marseille is the First underwater museum installation on a national level. Supported by the Association des Amis du Musée Subaquatique de Marseille and chaired by actor Serge Dupirethe museum’s patron is lawyer and former President of the Bar Geneviève MAILLET and as godfather, the three-time World Freediving Champion Morgan Bourc’his.

It offers a novel approach to raising public awareness of the beauty and fragility of the seas and oceans. By placing the human being at the heart of this immensity, both in time and space, he proposes to awaken our consciousness by involving our five senses.

The Musée Subaquatique de Marseille is a playful and educational artificial reef, the only one of its kind in France, dedicated to art, marine biology and environmental protection.

10 artists created figurative works immersed in water 5 meters deep and 100 meters off the Catalans beachin the heart of Marseille.

Completely free of charge, the Museum is designed to help as many people as possible discover the artistic and natural wealth of the site. the artistic and natural wealth of the siteand to environmental and ecological issues.
