THE SEED AND THE SEA
“The seed is vital in nature. It represents the matrix that will give rise to thousands of trees. What counts in a fruit is the seed, not the flesh. Information is contained within and must be transmitted.
Nature is all about transmission. If she embellishes flowers and endows fruits with succulent flesh, it’s so that animals and mankind are attracted to them and disperse the seeds, so that the transmission of vital information can continue.
The pulp in a fruit symbolically represents the flesh, and its stone can be seen as the symbol of the Spirit.
The first is destined to perish, and the second to last.
Let’s protect the Spirit of the Sea, passing on its value to future generations so that its matrix can survive and continue to create the Marine Life we hold so dear.”
